88 What Does The Council Of Chalcedon In The Year 451 Teach In This Regard

88 What Does The Council Of Chalcedon In The Year 451 Teach In This Regard

88. Equally DOES THE Legislature OF CHALCEDON (IN THE Meeting 451) Talking to IN THIS REGARD?

(Comp 88) The Legislature of Chalcedon teaches us to divulge "one and the actual Son, our Noble Jesus Christ, supreme in his compassion, true God and true man, self-possessed of exhibition body and number, consubstantial with the Edge by his idol, and consubstantial with us by his compassion, so us in all beat but sinful (Hebrews 4:15), begotten from the Edge preceding all ages as to his idol, and in these live on days, for us and for our conversion, uneducated of Mary, the Virgin and Blood relation of God, as to his compassion."

"In Principal"

(CCC 483) The Epithet is afterward the mystery of the massive meeting of the divine and human natures in the one type of the Word.

To make stronger and refurbish

(CCC 467) The Monophysites affirmed that the human font had ceased to develop as such in Christ when the divine type of God's Son expected it. Faced with this heresy, the fourth ecumenical committee, at Chalcedon in 451, confessed: Significant the holy Fathers, we unanimously teach and divulge one and the actual Son, our Noble Jesus Christ: the actual supreme in idol and supreme in compassion, the actual straightforwardly God and straightforwardly man, self-possessed of exhibition body and body; consubstantial with the Edge as to his idol and consubstantial with us as to his humanity; "so us in all beat but sin". He was begotten from the Edge preceding all ages as to his idol and in these live on days, for us and for our conversion, was uneducated as to his compassion of the virgin Mary, the Blood relation of God (Legislature of Chalcedon (451): DS 301; cf. Heb 4:15). We divulge that one and the actual Christ, Noble, and only-begotten Son, is to be known in two natures without confusion, modify, tear or line. The status surrounded by the natures was never abolished by their meeting, but somewhat the meaning remedy to each of the two natures was preserved as they came together in one type ("prosopon") and one hypostasis (Legislature of Chalcedon: DS 302).

On reflection

(CCC 469) The Minster so confesses that Jesus is inseparably true God and true man. He is straightforwardly the Son of God who, without ceasing to be God and Noble, became a man and our brother: "Equally he was, he remained and what he was not, he expected", sings the Roman Liturgy (LH, 1 January, antiphon for Dawn Prayer; cf. St. Leo the Substantial, Sermo in nat. Dom. 1, 2; PL 54, 191-192) and the liturgy of St. John Chrysostom proclaims and sings: "O only-begotten Son and Word of God, undying animation, you who deigned for our conversion to become anthropomorphize of the holy Blood relation of God and ever-virgin Mary, you who without modify became man and were crucified, O Christ our God, you who by your death sport milled death, you who are one of the Saintly Trinity, overvalued with the Edge and the Saintly Specter, accumulate us!" (Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, Troparion "O monogenes").

(Near question: How does the Minster set forth the Magical of the Incarnation?)
