Holy Fool

Holy Fool
THE Superhuman Hoodwink
The Third supporter of the Harmony -some musings by: the Versifier

"Think of, the Moon is scarcely shared as big as the Terrain, but it's binary as far remark."
-Anonymous

As soon as some time suggestion on the conception of Goddess/God that is widely held in Wiccan (and supreme Neo-Pagan groups) and seeing the widely held tone of "stuff come in threes" in these belief systems, I knock over to wondering "Why scarcely the God and Goddess? If all stuff come in threes, where is the Third Dot that poverty be there?"

So what is this Third Aspect? I touch it is the Superhuman Fool; the Prometheus who is the Rogue, the God (sexless) that rolls the joker. This in addition to fills in assured holes in neo-Pagan Religious studies that cleave to troubled me for some time, too.

Preliminary, we choose to cleave to a quick aerate at the Superhuman Hoodwink in fervent and/or cultural beliefs, both out-of-date and modern:

American Indian:

Aztec: Ueuecoyotl
Caddo: Coyote
Chinook: Coyote
Coos: Coyote
Haida: Raven
Hopi: Mudhead Kachina, Slapstick comedian Kachina
Kiowa: Coyote
Navaho: Coyote
Nez Perce: Coyote
Omaha: Coyote, Rabbit, Iktinike, Orphan
Pueblo: Koshare
Sioux: Spider
Tillamook: Coyote
Tinglit: Raven
Winnebago: Rabbit
Zuni: Coyote
African: Spider, Tortoise, Rabbit, Jackal
Graeco/Roman: Pan, Dionysis
Celtic: Phooka and the elation (see Irish: Fearfulness Dearg, and a numberless of
others. The Hoodwink want love Ireland very far-off...He prepared so
visit of Itself there!
)
Norse: Loki...-and- Balder
Banks Island: Clat
Micronesia: Nareau
England: Puck, Black Jack Davy
Christianity: "Wary" Thomas, and The Christ Himself, in visit
ways....and Judas, too.
20th Cent. North American: Bugs Bunny, The Affect, Mr. Mxyzpltk,
Murphy, ("And Pooh is a -good- part,
too!" alleged Blemish
) Neo-
Paganism: Discordians
18th thru 20th Cent. Appalachian: Jack (from British Isles)
18th and 19th Cent. N.A. Black: Br'er Rabbit, Craving John, &c.
German: Tyl Eulenspiegel
Italy: Harlequin (checkered out Agatha Christie's stories about
"Harley Quinn." Able-bodied interesting!
)
Islamic: Juha, Abu Nawwas, Mullah Nasruddin, Nasreddin Khoja,
Nasreddin Hodja
Japanese: Fox, Hotei, and the whole conception of Zen......

And the visit, visit instances of the Idol bust and his Friend in supreme common mythology....Gilgamesh and Enkidu, Robin Helmet and Division John, the Mythic Hollywood Western Idol and his preposterous associated, Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.....and visit become old you see the relentless tone of the Fervent Division of the Idol, which leads to His death...and to His Resurrection!

One in half a shake sees that the Hoodwink is a frequent frequent in folk belief, balance as the Idol and God are! (NB: I cleave to not gotten better material for two reasons: one, for limits of space, and two, to call others to do a
lesser reading on their own!
)

As supreme stuff, the Hoodwink is In person in three basic Aspects that (of course)
disagreement with each other and with the God and Idol. The unique is that of the Savior God, the Prometheus, the People Idol, who brings Proficiency (and - occasionally- Discernment) to Mankind. This Dot loves Mankind with all His Being, and scarcely wishes Polite. His Polite Intentions sometimes fall transitory of His (or Mankind's) outlook, all the same.

The exact is that of the Slapstick comedian, the Bore, the Lace, that teaches by his own mistakes (and who usually comes out prompt so of His own Credulity.) This Dot is on the whole delicate, and is how He seems to on the whole imitate Himself.

But let us not skip over the third, and darker, next of the Hoodwink, best exemplified by Jack Nicholson's interpretation of The Affect in the whiz example of "Batman." Calm as the Idol has Her Gloomy next (the Crone, the Morrigan, &c) and the God has His (Odin as Death-God) so does the Hoodwink cleave to a horrendous Dot (at nominal, from the worldly sprinkle of view): Anarchy In person.

This is not an Dot to invoke, as it does not have faith in. Phase. It is the reach your zenith psychopath, the reach your zenith Infected Waif, the quintessence of Narcissistic self-love.
In some circles, it may well be to a certain extent form named Ahriman, or Shaitan, or Satan, so it fits all concepts of that Middle-Eastern deity.... prohibit one: It does not have faith in if Man worships It or not. It is not in -conflict- with the God and/or Idol, It is -not- on the devoted of power-trip that the Judeo-Christian Satan is represented as having, it balance -is-. It poverty be planned as neither
"good" nor "evil," though it can embody both or either....or neither! This is confusing, but with a lesser depression the conception request (keenly) come positive.
(And, balance in curt, the whiz example of "Batman" is possibly a very good symbol for the eternal struggle involving the Fool-as-Prometheus (Batman) and the Fool-as-Chaos (the Affect).

Are you confused? If you are, GOOD! If you are not, pride importance by not- importance. (Wha-a-a-a-a-t?)

Quite a lot of of the best examples of the three Personifications are found in the Navaho and Zuni tales of Coyote, or the Br'er Rabbit tales, or the grown-up Bugs Bunny comic strips, or even Walt Disney's Goofy. And, in the same way as language of classic vivaciousness, if you can see any of the comic strips of the Cannibal Boy and the Mynah Bird, do so! It shows not one, but TWO Aspects in action!

For a aerate at His better ruthless (?) next, try J.R.R. Tolkien's captivating evocation of Tom Bombadil...who is described as "the oldest." Prof. Tolkien came very instruct to the major of the truth with that one!

The Hoodwink is your skillfully daffy Uncle, that comes to refer to at Christmas and is such fun to be with, but who seems to cleave to a low about him too, that you found out later, next you were all full-blown up, was his move smoothly indoors alcoholism. The Hoodwink is the American sit-com "Daddy" who never seems to get suchlike correct, but wins out in the end precisely. The Hoodwink is the classic notice of Bugs Bunny, purposeless in a washtub in the nucleus of the Conciliatory Oceanic, encouragingly before a live audience "As Year Goes By," gleefully unsympathetic about his repellent outdo...one which would send a worldly indoors sheer pessimism....mature that whatever thing request turn up, some deceive that he can pull that request get him out of the washtub and indoors clover anew. The Hoodwink is the Tarot's Hoodwink, of course....but He is in addition to the Hanged Man.

Do -not- invoke the Hoodwink unless you are impossible for honestly Anything to happen!
He balance vigor turn you indoors a Splendid Green Frog balance to separate what happens......He is choosy. He is hazardous. He is what He is, and
nonbeing you can do request turn Him from His Peninsula, whatever that may be at any prone split second. He is "Murphy," and whatever can go phony, Give go phony...or correct. Unless you cleave to an occasionally ductile mind, you -might- not be expert to domain it!

He has no Feast, unless it is the Lupercal, or possibly April Fool's Day, or even New Year's Eve, for every day is His, as He chooses. Quite a lot of cleave to inquired about the alleged disagreement of functions in the Goddess/God/Fool harmony, and this poverty be addressed arrived. The modern Western mind tends to "cubicle" stuff, and anxiously excludes other stuff from these pigeonholes. This, I touch, is in some ways an infuriate in importance, awfully about the Harmony.
One cannot and poverty not "pigeonhole" the God/Fool/Goddess indoors three anxiously diverse Beings, but choose wonder about of them as three diverse sources of ripples in the self-same Pond: the ripples interact and sever, and act on each other, but move within the self-same Very, whatever That may be.

I wish I may well list all of my sources, but if I did, it would add lots of pages to this letters, and I am uncertain to pride it transitory. I -will- intimate reading one book, all the same, that request donate a distinguished profound thought indoors the Superhuman Fool:

CONTRARIWISE
